
This is one of my first serious attempts at macro photography and it is from about 1977. At that time one of my rites of spring was to take some picture of the first hepaticas each year.
I took this picture with Canon FT QL, Canon automatic bellows and f:1.8 50 mm Canon normal lens. Only natural sunlight was used, with darkish background. The exposure was unrecorded.
For this shot I used Agfachrome 50 S slide film, bought in bulk, spooled and developed by myself. It did not take long until I found developing slide film extremely boring and not financially rewarding.
