The image was taken with a borrowed Olympus Camedia SLR and the exact technical details are beyond my powers of recollection. It was taken during a visit of an Estonian delegation to Turku, Finland and I took it across a large table - the longest focal length of the camera did not suffice for a tight portrait so I had to crop it extensively later on with the Photoshop. Because of the cropping the quality suffered a lot and I had to think about how to improve it - and so I came across the "artistic" watercolour filter. I normally do not approve of this kind of image manipulation but here it seems to suit the model very well.
Of course the success of the image depends on the good looks of the model and also on her choice of clothing - the muted colours create a tranquillity that belies the circumstances in which the picture was taken.
