This appears to be a simple image - and it is - but it is actually a double exposure. The background pine forest has been made to look denser than it it really is by exposing it twice, the first exposure unsharp. And it really was quite difficult to get it right - this is the only usable of tens of frames.
The picture was made with Pentax LX and Hoya 100-300 mm zoom at about 300 mm. Fujichrome 100 film was used. Exposures automatic and unrecorded.
